01. AT A GLANCE

We developed a series of TV commercials for Brady Family Ham that are engaging and fun yet make the serious point that Brady Ham is 100% REAL ham. The campaign is a departure for what is normally a quite po-faced product category.

02. THE CHALLENGE

We needed to let consumers know what REAL means. It means ham that is made from one single pork joint, with no added water and is 100% Irish. Plus, we had to let the consumer know all of that in a way that would cut through media clutter.

03. OUR APPROACH

We created a series of ads featuring our ‘Ham’ man. He comes from his own place and time. You may not bring him home to meet ‘mammy. but he can sure tell xxxx from shinola. And he knows what makes ‘real’. [And it aint added water]

The character was brought to life superbly by Father Ted director, Declan Lowney.

04. THE RESULT

Brady Family Ham brand recognition is at an all-time high and happily competes alongside iconic Irish brands like Denny in shops around the country. [And Ham Man’s beard is rivaling that of fellow country bumpkin,’ Dáithí Ó Sé amongst ‘the ladies’ [allegedly].
