01. AT A GLANCE

We created an engaging series of radio ads and an on-line video to communicate that you can, if you need one, get ‘a little loan’ when you encounter one of those little problems – like a broken washing machine.

02. THE CHALLENGE

Sometimes that four-letter word beginning with S, happens. The alternator in the car goes, the washing machine stops washing, the Hoover wants early retirement. These are things that need sorting and finance may not be readily available.

03. OUR APPROACH

Nobody likes to be reminded that they are strapped for cash and we wanted to broach the subject in a light hearted, media friendly way whilst making the point that Provident were here for those ‘little problem’ with appropriate structured loans. And so we invented ‘Oh Crappy Day’ the antithesis of ‘Oh Happy Day”. We developed a fun jingle that sung proud about the virtues of calling Provident should you end up having a crappy day as a result of a little everyday hassle.

04. THE RESULT

Satisfaction rating is something Provident prides itself on. It is currently around 97%.

We try, with our work; to ensure Provident figures remain right up there.
